Nečeron Žiradu

From Almeopedia

Nečeron Žiradu is (or was) a Verdurian magician, whereabouts currently unknown.

His origins are obscure - like those of most magicians - but is said to be the son of an alchemist. He was a court magician for a period under King Alric, but was fired when he made Prince Velto's pet hamster disappear and failed to get it back.

Subsequently, he spent about two years running a magic shop at 226 Prosia Ževuran, in the Scafiora. Many adventurers frequented the shop to acquire or identify magic items, and Žiradu is known to have made use of their naive energy for his own purposes, which increasingly seemed to center on the ruined castle of Erruk, three days’ ride from the city. Many a desperate man has convinced himself that untold riches or unspeakable power await him in its somber dungeons, but Žiradu was no dilettante; it could be no small thing that he discovered.

In the last month of 3479, Žiradu vanished - along with his son and all his magical merchandise. Since then, a motley band of adventurers has made the shop their headquarters: led by the fighter Žoržo Šiva Nrüsk, and including Iesu Erom, Aragorn, Aďia Eliley, Londrot and Tay Örn, Tomao Eďron, and Bennan Tark (who, if reports can be credited, is Omeguese). At least some of these people (including Erom and Nrüsk) were seen in the vicinity as early as froďac 3479. The adventurers are not believed to be strong enough to have killed the magician, but it's unlikely that there is no connection to his dramatic disappearance.
