Efaristo

Efaristo [ɛ fa ˈri sto] was a King of Verduria, the second of the Soley Dynasty. He was born in 3144, the eldest son of Caloton.

Efaristo succeeded his father in 3173, and found that the Esčambra understood itself to have ruling authority. It appointed officials and generals, determined the budget, even judged court cases. Efaristo at first went along, but eventually protested, and finally began to refuse to sign bills he disapproved of, leading to constant struggle with the legislature. When he became deathly ill in 3181, the Esčambra deposed him in favor of his brother Alunařo.
