Geriŋ
From Almeopedia
Geriŋ [ˈge riŋ] is a large region of the frigid southern coast of Ereláe, largely consisting of pine woods and tundra. It lies to the east of Jagai and west of Luduyn.
The human inhabitants are hunter-gatherers and speak Mgunikpe languages. They are rarely bothered by outsiders even for trade; whatever they have— mostly furs and wood— can be more easily acquired elsewhere.
In Xurnese, gerin is used to refer to something large but useless, such as an unproductive estate or someone else's Salon. On the other hand, the Gurdagor maintain that the people of Geriŋ, though primitive in technology, are exemplars of morality, without war, inequality, toughened by their harsh lifestyle, and compassionate and sophisticated in religion.
