Jeerio

Jeerio [ˈdʒir ɪ o] is a young flaid, with a very proper flaidish interest in alchemy, logarithms, sailing ships, and chronometers, and many other things besides. He lives with his mother near Pickapo, in Flora, and (it must be said) tries her patience sometimes. When she recently suggested that he was entirely too old to be living at home reading and sleeping, he undertook a voyage to Syxesteer, rented a small sailboat, and through inexperience sailed it in a big circle back to Syxesteer. Disappointed, he returned home.

Fortunately, his mother found him a position at the Veen Faʔ restaurant in Pickapo. He is said to undertake adventures on weekends, probably as a standard Fighter, though Ranger is also a possibility.

His constant companion is his pet poodle Tiin (pronounced like "twin" but normally anglicized "Twain").

Reports that Jeerio encountered a dragon in the middle of placid Flora seem exaggerated.

Etymology: A common Flaidish name, from jeer "fat".
