Kalimantan is a thick forest situated on the upper reaches of the Peleu river. Its existence may be explain by its being in a relatively low, well-watered area. While the Kalimantan itself is dense enough that no country claims it, it is surrounded by several different countries, although their boundaries are undefined within the forest itself.
The forest is one of the largest remaining habitat for icëlani in Eretald; it was also the traditional base of operations of the Gongroi bandits before they took over Peleu.
