Kaltenise

The Kaltenise race occupies the continent of Lebiscuri in the northern hemisphere. Their skin color is a greyish brown, not quite like any terrestrial humans; in the south (Kalténia) it’s a darker brown, while around the Bohai it becomes more yellowy. Hair is dark brown, dark red, or black in color, and frizzy. To Verdurians at least, the Kaltenise are the ugliest of Almean races, with long narrow noses, thin lips, small red or orange eyes, and prominent chins. (It may be noted that the women of Šɯʇ, as shown in the illustration, complement their plain features with exquisitely bad taste, combining tight, severe hairstyles with lurid lip and eye makeup.)
