Kibruise

The Kibruise [qi bru ˈi sɛ] race occupies the northern half of Arcél. Skin color is coppery, though darker among the Bé, and hair is usually a glossy black; they have a rather Native American appearance. The Kibruisî are notably small and slight by Almean standards, though the Linaic peoples are larger. They tend to have large hooked noses, and the men have little facial hair.

Linguistically, the Kibruisî divide into three language families:

• Linaminče, itself divided into
  • Linaic on the west coast, including Ayalampa
  • Minče on the northern coast, including Rimasača
• Beic, comprising the languages of Belesao and its relatives
• Kemic in the center highlands and the eastern coast; racially this is a zone of mixture between Kibruise and Melanke, but the origin of the language family is in Kereminth
