Lúdamen
From Almeopedia
Lúdamen [ˈlu da mɛn] is a hill to the east of Verduria city, and also the neighborhood that clusters at its base, just outside the city walls.
The hill is steep enough that houses are subject to destruction by landslides. Partly because of this, it is the city's poorest neighborhood. It is also its most dangerous. The Scafiora has a worse reputation, but this is because it's central enough and protected enough that the genteel can enter, though with care. Nobody enters Lúdamen without the consent of its criminal gangs, notably the Akulî (Sharks); the Cumbutát Venceo (Victory Association), better known as the Ružišapî (Redhats); and the Truarašecî Prosë Cima (Hill Street Pigfuckers).
Etymology: Meť. 'olive hill'; the Ver. cima Lúdamen "Lúdamen hill" is thus a cross-linguistic redundancy.
