Legislatures
From Almeopedia
Legislatures are by definition assemblies that can make law; generally they derive from consultative assemblies, often collections of nobles or notables. The transition is not always sharp; the advice from a strong set of nobles to a weak king may be hard to ignore, and laws may need to be approved by the sovereign.
Legislators need not be chosen by election. The first elective legislature was that of Kolatimand (576); in the north, that of Érenat (2944).
