Na:nyanok

From Almeopedia

Na:nyanok was a Wede:i kingdom on the middle Xengi; its foundation is attributed to the epic king Bo:ndola:i, king of Śima:i. The epics mention frequent feasts held by the Wede:i kings and nobles to distribute food, weapons, and trade goods to their followers. This is a stage in the formation of complex societies: in effect the first kings had to buy their way to the top. Later on, the upper classes learn that they can freely despoil the producers, whose only recompense may be defense against neighboring despoilers.

The kingdom was conquered by Nanuŋitera, king of Yenine, in -625.

Etymology: Wede:i ‘the god spoke’; Ax. Nananok, X. Nanok.
