< NOČII

Nočii [no ˈtʃi i] is a neighborhood in Verduria city. Though the northern edge was settled in medieval times, development accelerated during the Eleďe dynasty, when the rectangular grid system was laid out. (Prosiî Enäron and Vlaran, which take diagonals to the Temple of Enäron, were cut through the city by Mëranac 1e of the Abolineron dynasty.)

The district was once named Enäronei after the temple, but soon became the center of night life, from which it takes its present name. Among the amenities of the Nočii are:

  • The Sfica, Illu, Šön, Ožnëy, and Šubert theaters, as well as the Concert Hall and many minor venues
  • Many upscale nightspots, such as Studio R
  • The Demeča and So Fayét department stores
  • The Medeon Museum, which concentrates on the history of the northern Eretald from Meťaiun times onward
  • The cathedral of Nëron Mihel, seat of the Eleďe Patriarch, and its attached Ecclesiastical College

Etymology: Ver. ‘of night’.
