This page collects some guidelines or policies that aren't the same as on Wikipedia. This will probably get more complicated over time— this is just a first stab at things.

Sign your articles

Since it deals with my world, I'd like it to be clear which articles I wrote. Use the author template when you start a new article. This will probably get more complicated as soon as we have articles with substantial work by several people.

In-universe

Wikipedia has a relatively new policy to write about fictional universes from an out-of-universe perspective. Almeopedia is unrepentantly in-universe.

Categories

It's OK here, though not in Wikipedia, for an article to belong to a category and also a supercategory— e.g. "Artists" and also "People". The main reason is that our biggest categories aren't that full for now, and I'd like to be able to see everything in them.

Article names

Article names should generally exclude common nouns: e.g. Ctelm, not Ctelm mountains. Where this would create ambiguity, the simple name should be that of the region rather than the city or geographical feature. Thus Verduria (= the country) vs. Verduria city, Rhânor (= the country) vs. Rhânor range.

Articles for Thinking Kinds as well as groups of people should have pluralized names: Flaids, Arašei. Basically, this is because I don't like the awkwardness of (say) "A flaid is a member of an intelligent race..."
