Qarau-Eynleyni
From Almeopedia
Qarau-Eynleyni [qa 'raw ejn ˈlej ni] is a proposed superfamily of languages, combining Eynleyni [ejn ˈlej ni], spoken in Dhekhnam, and Qarau [qa 'raw], spoken along the eastern coast of Ereláe. Both families are largely inflecting, though this is as likely to be an areal feature as one of common descent.
The known languages in these families are as follows:
- Qarau
- Irqarau, spoken in Upper Qaraumia, north of Dhekhnam
- Karimian or Qaraumcán, spoken in northern Qaraumia proper, best known as the native language of Karímia
- Erqarau or Southern Qarau, spoken in southern Qaraumia
- Carhinnian, spoken in eastern Dhekhnam; the Carhinnians once lived in Qaramia but Attafei converted them to Jippirasti, upon which they helped conquer and administer Munkhâsh; in recent centuries they were conquered by the resurgent Dhekhnami
- Eynleyni
- Munkhâshi, the language of ancient Munkhâsh
- Demoshi or Dhekhnami, the language of Demóshimor and thus the lingua franca of Dhekhnam
- Tyellakhi, the language of Tyellakh
