Relative prosperity

The Relative Prosperity line in the nation tables is a comparison of the country's median income to Verduria's (100). So a value of 54 means that the median income is 54% of that of Verduria.

The number is a rough estimate, but it does include the value of non-currency transactions (e.g., barter or taxation in kind). As a corollary, the value should not be taken as a guideline to wages. Some countries have virtually no cash economy.

The map shows the same information in graphical format, with the degree of red saturation equal to the nation's prosperity index. (The value shown for Dhekhnam, 19, applies to Sarnáe only; similarly, Xazno has a value of 62.)
