Very interesting map. I feel I must inquire as to the values of Ṭeô <ä> and <û>. --Dunomapuka 23:40, 8 September 2007 (PDT)

<û> is [ʊ] and <ä> is between [æ] and [ɛ]. And while we're at it, <ô> is [ə] in some dialects and open o in others (dang, the edit window doesn't have that IPA character). Zompist 13:46, 10 September 2007 (PDT)

Does Mešäriš have local language autonomy or is its language co-official on the national level (and to what extent)? Is it a dialect of Ut,andal? Does Čeiy have other minority languages and if yes, what's their status? --Hwhatting 08:04, 17 July 2008 (PDT)

The local Lenani-Littoral dialect is mutually intelligible with Uṭandal (whose standard is the speech of Čisra). It's been heavily influenced by Diḍburir (the language of Luṭay) and by Ṭeôši. Regional government is conducted in this local dialect, except for dealings with Ṭeôši speakers. National affairs are conducted only in Ṭeôši. There are a enclaves in the mountains where Mei is spoken; till a few centuries ago, once could still find Gelyet speakers. Zompist 16:05, 17 July 2008 (PDT)
