Talk:Fei

From Almeopedia

I've editorialized slightly in this article, I'm afraid - I haven't found the conversion of the Fei to Jippirasti detailed anywhere, and there are some sources which seem to conflict. For example, the Disaini converted to Fanpita, which is named after the Fei, and later invaded the Fei under evangelistic pretenses... Did they convert them to Fanpita? Why would it be named after them, then, if it was around before them? And how come it worked for them, when it hadn't worked for the Tžuro, even after they'd been around for centuries?

I realize the Fei are peripheral on Almea, so I might be missing a retcon or two. I ended up going for the one that seemed most likely. : ) --Yebi 02:35, 11 August 2007 (PDT)

Fana is the Tžuro name for the Fei and for Feináe. The easternmost pita was called Fanpita even before the conversion of the Fei. (An analogy would be Indian names used for North American cities and states.) The Tžuro didn't convert them because a) they thought them marginal-- they were after the rich Skourene cities, and b) they were more scrupulous about not converting people unwillingly.
