Talk:Lenani

From Almeopedia

This is just a list of states, based on the Historical atlas... I had planned to do something like what I did for the Tžuro article (ie. Copy and paste info straight from the historical atlas and fill in the small gaps)... But the Lenani don't have a lot to copy and paste, living at the far edge of civilisation as they do, so I think that writing a full article would take a while... And it's half past two in the morning right now... So that's going to have to wait until tommorrow, methinks. Anyhow, my version of this article (when/if it happens)'s going to involve more than a bit of guesswork... And yeah... That's it... One question does occur, though... Do the Lenani as a distinct group emerge at the same time as the Tžuro? Or, are they a continuation of the earlier Lenani-Littoral culture? (I ask because the atlas refers to Lenani as far back as -600) Furius

They aren't distinguished from the Tžuro until after the latter invade Skouras. Take earlier references as short for "Lenani-Littoral". There are a few snippets of information on the Lenani in the Skourene atlas. Zompist 11:32, 17 January 2007 (PST)

Ok... I've made a few leaps here... Particularly in the early history section, but after that there's more and more atlas information, which made things much easier... Furius 19:49, 17 January 2007 (PST)

Is the language of the Lenani much different from Tzuro? Stilgar 08:31, 4 December 2007 (PST)

Yes, it's as different as both are from Old Skourene. As just one example (and I'm afraid there aren't many more), the cognate to fsava is bofa; compare also Baburkunim, Babukizem. Zompist 08:51, 4 December 2007 (PST)

And one question more, do they recite the Baburkunim in native language, or in Tzuro?
