Talk:Monkhayu

From Almeopedia

This article needs some work... for one thing, neither the people nor the language are extinct; they still live in SW Dhekhnam. In general I've used 'Monkhayic' for the overall language family, and Meťaiun and Monkhayu for its two subfamilies. Zompist 12:10, 25 September 2007 (PDT)

Wasn't it the language that was never written and extinct when the Cuzeians conquered their territory and what we know about that language is reconstructed by Kebreni and others? Exez 13:20, 25 September 2007 (PDT)
No... see the beginning of the Kebreni grammar or the article on Monkhayic. If you look the 287 map in the grammar, the northern blue region is Meťaiun and the southern one is Monkhayu. Kebreni remains from the Meťaiun family, of course; the extinct languages are its sister Meťaiun languages from Eretald. Zompist 13:54, 25 September 2007 (PDT)
