Talk:Moons

From Almeopedia

Do any cultures use Iliacáš' phases as the basis of a month? 17 days would make for a useful length as well. Nik Taylor 15:33, 23 June 2008 (PDT)

Probably. :) I don't have calendars worked out for everyone... Zompist 18:12, 23 June 2008 (PDT)
Cool.  :-) I was wondering because my conworld's moon's synodic month is a hair over 18 local days, so I was amused at how close in length those two were.  :-)
Oh, and I just noticed a contradiction. In the Almea article, it says The first of the moons has a period of a little less than 28 Almean days, thus marking an iliažyoš or month, but this article says Its period is a little longer than 28 Almean days So is it a little longer or a little shorter than 28 days?
