Team Fortress Almea

From Almeopedia

Caln Facorië Almea [ˈkaln fa ko ri ˈjɛ al ˈmɛ a] is a multi-player melee game, or "first-person chopper", probably not coming soon from Valve. (Caln facorië is a Verdurian translation of “team fortress”.)

The weaponry and designs are intended to be about as fantastical as the corresponding classes from Team Fortress 2. So, for instance, I wouldn't want you to conclude that the Horselords wield ginormous cleavers, that hand cannons are quite that portable, or even that red dye is so widely available. But they're all based on Almean military specializations and have appropriate uniforms and skin colors.

  • Flaming oil thrower (Pyro) — From Kebri; indeed fire was a favorite Kebreni tactic.
  • Trapmaker (Engineer) — A flaid from Flora; the flaids were known for their ingenious defenses and traps. He's carrying a handsaw.
  • Archer (Sniper) — From Belesao; a female archer is appropriate as the entire region is female-dominated, with archers as the elite force.
  • Rogue (Spy) — From Demóshimor, whose spies are notable throughout Ereláe for their craftiness and skill. His grayish skin color is typical of the people east of the Ctelm mountains.
  • Barbarian (Heavy) — with an outfit inspired by the Makši. Shown with his faithful long-suffering horse Natašaz. (Not a donkey, really. Almean horses have ears that hang down. And she's small to make an amusing contrast with the fattie.)
  • Wizard (Medic) — from Ctésifon, with staff and academic süpa.
  • Grenadier (Demoman) — from Šura, which does have advanced bomb-making capabilities combined with a retro taste in headgear.
  • Skirmisher (Scout) — from Téllinor, in particular Yamda, wielding bolas.
  • Cannoneer (Soldier) — from Xurno, dressed somewhat archaically as a xaleza, carrying a hand cannon, a precursor to the gun.

They're shown in a savannah environment, the Irenja, which is the nearest equivalent to the desert environment of TF2.
