Teng bean
From Almeopedia
Teng beans grow on small plants with yellow flowers, found throughout the Arcél/Kereminth equatorial zone. The beans themselves are bicolored, half red and half brown. They’re simply boiled in their homeland, Belesao; in Kereminth they’re usually mashed after cooking.
Uytainese gourmets insist that the flavor of the red and brown halves is subtly different, and sometimes cut the beans in order to make plates of all one or the other color. Most people try this once and decide that the foodies are crazy.
