Turnip

The turnip is a small leafy plant, native to Eretald, with a large white or yellow root. Both leaves and roots are edible, though neither will win prizes. Since they grow fast and are fairly nutritious, they are staple for the poor and are used to feed animals.
The Xurnese have a larger version, similar to our rutabaga, which is now grown in Eretald as well.
