Ur-Kagöt
From Almeopedia
The Ur-Kagöt language family is divided into two branches: Somoyi-Meťelyi in the western Barbarian Plain and the Nalernukh Plain, and Kagöt in the Baslernukh, Geriŋ and parts of Jagai.
The original home of the Ur-Kagöt people was the Lernukh river valley. After the domestication of the Almean horse around -1400 they adopted a pastoralist lifestyle, and expanded over the Western Barbarian and Nalernukh Plains.
The Somoyi-Meťelyi live in extended tribes which lay claim to one of the major rivers for water, and migrate seasonally. In the east, however, some of them have taken to living in sedentary kingdoms (Zanui and Kačanza).
The Kagöt have settled the cold southwestern coast of Ereláe, relying on herds for meat and agriculture for grain.
