From Almeopedia
"El que tiene imaginación, con qué facilidad saca de la nada un mundo." Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer
I met the Metaverse in 1997 through Ardalambion, a webpage about the languages of Tolkien: it provided (and still does) a link to the Language Construction Kit!!!
I never thought that Verdurian is a particularly beautiful language[*], and I don't think that uesti and ilii are especially charming compared to other fantasy species, however Almea was always attractive and intriguing to me: I have tried to learn Verdurian, I check the site now and then, but still haven't managed to read all of it (I guess the Atlas is what holds me back). So having a complete and concise knowledge on Almean history is something I longed for a long time.
Years ago I proposed in the Zompist Board to make a wiki about Almea. Zompist was negative, but not that negative such as some other users (I forgot the names) who posed vehemently against such an idea. So imagine my surprise some time later when, during one of my visits to the Virtual Verduria, I found a link to an Almeopedia!!!
This is a chance for me to understand Almea better and obtain a spherical view on its history. And this pursue can be mirrored in my decision to start and devoutly maintain the Timeline article now and then, something that the Metaverse lacked all this time.
[*]Sorry Zomp... however I really love the latin flavour of Cadhinor!!!
