The Vočnor [ˈvotʃ nor] dynasty ruled Verduria for just 28 years, from 3376 to 3404.

The Abolineron dynasty consumed itself in strife, ending with the murder of the last queen Ayeša and most of her relatives by a faction of the Esčambra. This plunged the kingdom into a civil war that lasted for almost two years.

Several nobles or generals attempted to claim the kingship, sometimes simultaneously, none with any lasting recognition. Finally Pelerin Vočnor, belgsanno (general) in Zeir, allying himself with nobles and commanders in Irvesi and Verduria province, took control of Verduria city and named himself Sanno Akežec (Lord Protector). He restored order in the city and then the country, and reconvened the Esčambra to get the government back on track.

His firm hand, the modesty of his title, and the value he placed on the institutions of power, all made an excellent impression, and the Esčambra named him king by a wide majority. He insisted on a national unity government for the first three years of his rule.

Given his background, Pelerin focussed on Eretald and favored the pagans; for most of his realm the conservative Caďin party was in power. However, he strongly supported the navy, and thus won the support of the merchant class. He reorganized the colony of Karímia in the wake of a Qarau rebellion, and rebuilt the Řuk Ranetami fortress at the mouth of the Eärdur as well as the Verdurian-Érenati base on Melloin island.

Pelerin was succeeded by his son Orest. Orest had always been unstable, and the stress of becoming king sent him over the edge into insanity: he became alternately catatonic or violent if anyone but trusted family members asked anything of him. The Esčambra replaced him with his sister Vlerë after just six months. She died early, without any heirs, in 3404, upon which the Sanno Konselore Daluii or Prime Minister, Onvaďra Anëtey, declared herself queen.
