Western [ˈwɛs trn] is a language family found in the Rau jungle, Nan and its satellites, and extending across the Zone of Fire into the Bekkayin states and Omeguo. They are believed to be related to the Ur-Kagöt languages.

With the exception of Nanese, these langauges are not well known. Typologically they vary quite a bit: some of the southern languages are polysynthetic, the northern languages are agglutinating and prefixing, and the Bekkayin languages are isolating.
