Xoranas
From Almeopedia
The Xoranas [zo ra ˈnas] is the eastern coast of Luduyn, on the Sea of Xurno. Being at a rather southernly latitude, it is cool, but arable. Major towns at present (3480) are Gurdago, Mureli, and Komago within the Gurdagor area, and the Ša coastal cities Lufào, Andào, and Rǔa.
Originally inhabited by Mgunikpe folk, the area was first introduced to civilization when the Jei Union founded a trading post on the Lux river, at what is now Lufào. The Koranax has been ruled, in whole or in part, by the Jeori Empire, the Čia-Ša peoples, Čiqay (a Xurnese state split off of the Xurnese Empire), the Third Gurdagor Empire, and the Ša state of Lufào/Andào.
Xoranas also refers to the kingdom of Čiqay, as it was renamed in the 2800s.
Etymology: X. Xoranas, Ax. Kuranaku, ultimately from Old Skourene Skuranaku 'New Skouras'; cf. Gurdagor Sxuranago, Tžuro Šuranak, Ver. Coranás. In earlier Almeological studies the word was mis-transliterated Koranax.
