Yam
From Almeopedia
Yams are roots, related to hardroot and potato, which grow on a bushy vine along the entire tropical zone of Almea. The bright yellow color of the interior indicates its high beta carotene content; it’s a high-calorie food though low in protein. It’s less starchy and more sweet than the potato, and softer when cooked. It’s universally preferred to hardroot, but it spoils more easily.
Ver. noyra, Flaidish niira, both from Nanese nyara; Lé âraŋ; Tombwe njaja.
